Marina Arilha Silva

Curious and collaborative, Marina loves connecting with people and building new understandings. From a young age, she has volunteered in various settings, from hospitals and orphanages to indigenous schools.
Marina is currently the Brazil Programme Coordinator at the Van Leer Foundation, overseeing the Brazil portfolio. Her ability to observe and understand systems from micro to macro perspectives is integral to her role.
Previously, Marina coordinated the Formar Program at Fundação Lemann, supporting public municipal education departments. She also managed the Maranhão Women’s Network and led the mentoring project for Agroextrativist Women of Médio Juruá-Amazônia. As Innovation Manager for Social Impact at MJV Technology and Innovation, Marina oversaw the integration of complex business projects with sustainable approaches through innovative solutions.
Marina holds a degree in international relations and a postgraduate degree in public policy and social innovation management. She has also participated in the Executive Leadership Program in Early Childhood at Harvard University.
