Patricia Núñez Zamora
Early Years Expert
Patricia works closely with programme portfolios, providing technical assistance and contributing to building internal and external capacity for implementing and monitoring early years initiatives. She also promotes learning and knowledge exchange within our teams and supports the executive education courses and training of leaders across programme portfolios, focusing on early years development.
Patricia is a social anthropologist with a postgraduate degree in gender relations and development and a master’s in medical anthropology and international health. Her more than 20 years of professional experience have focused on public policies in social protection, early childhood development, education, and maternal and child health.
Before joining the Foundation, she worked for almost 10 years as an Early Childhood Development (ECD) specialist at UNICEF, first in Chile and then in the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, providing technical support to the ECD agenda at both regional and national levels, working passionately on accelerating results for young children and their families. She was also part of the technical team that, in 2006, advised former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet on different policy reforms that led to the creation of one of the most emblematic ECD programmes worldwide, Chile Grows with You, and worked on training municipalities in its intersectoral model of implementation.
