Elisheva Gilad
Programme Coordinator Israel (Maternity Cover)
Elisheva Gilad was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and has lived in Israel for 45 years. She has worked for over 25 years in diverse social change organisations, including multi-sector engagement and capacity building.
For thirteen years, she served as Deputy Director and Programme Director for the Heinrich Boell Foundation’s Israel office, where she led the strategic planning and implementation of the environment and sustainability programme component. For the past three years, she developed programmes and resources for Oranim Education College and worked closely with the Israeli Institute for Early Childhood Education.
She holds a master’s degree in intercultural relations from Lesley University in the U.S. where she specialised in expressive therapies and issues of shared citizenship among Jews and Arabs in Israel. She is the very proud mom of Noam and Yonah, 28-year-old fraternal twin boys, who taught her everything she needed to know about sharing, diversity and equity.
