Lisette de Gelder

Lisette studied International Studies and Public Administration at Leiden University. She is a proactive and enthusiastic professional specialising in social challenges and initiatives that promote equal opportunities. Before joining Van Leer, she worked for 5 years as a consultant in the Dutch public sector, focusing on social, healthcare and youth policy. This enabled her to work at the national, regional, municipal and neighbourhood levels in the Netherlands.

At Van Leer, Lisette hopes to contribute to building and maintaining an inclusive society, where all children and their families are appreciated as part of our community. And to shine a light on important issues for the Dutch public debate.

As Programme Coordinator for the Netherlands, Lisette facilitates the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Dutch projects and exploration of future fields and challenges.
