Farah has more than 13 years’ experience in public policy, development and education. Before joining the Bernard van Leer Foundation in 2021, Farah was Results & Effectiveness Director and Education Lead at the Office of His Majesty King Abdullah II in Jordan. Working within the Local Development Directorate, she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the National Strategy for Human Resource Development, launched in 2016. She worked closely with government stakeholders to develop a results-oriented framework and implement a comprehensive, integrated action plan to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, quality and outputs of the education system under four thematic areas: early childhood education and development, basic and secondary education, higher education and TVET.
Previously, Farah worked at the Queen Rania Foundation, developing programmes on four main themes: teacher development and recognition, early childhood education and development, equity in education, and education technology and online learning. Farah earned her master’s degree in International Studies, with a focus on managing public and non-profit organisations, from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. Her bachelor’s degree is in Italian and English Language and Literature from the University of Jordan.
