Charlotte Davidi

Char joined the Foundation in January 2023 as Communications Officer — driven by a love of language and storytelling, Char manages the production of Early Childhood Matters, and supports creative content production and strategic knowledge management across Van Leer’s portfolios and platforms.

Previously, Char led the communications and protection portfolios at the United Network of Young Peacebuilders, where she coordinated a global campaign on protecting young people in civic space with the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth, co-wrote the network’s five-year strategy, and continued producing the Peace Corner Podcast, which Char co-created as an intern at GPPAC.

Char holds two degrees (BSc and MRes) in psychology and has spent years in various voluntary roles supporting children, young people and their families in displaced settings. These rich experiences have strengthened her deep love of and belief in our shared humanity to make positive change in the world, starting with the youngest.

With mixed heritage, Char grew up in London and Israel — embodying several worlds in one, she is collaborative in nature, and brings curiosity and thoughtfulness to her work. Based in Rotterdam outside of work, Char is either playing football or coaching girls with Project Fearless.
