Early Childhood in Focus: Healthy Environments

In this eighth edition, global challenges in providing healthy physical environments are brought into focus. Textbooks typically draw much less attention to children’s physical environment than social, yet the physical environment is intimately linked to the process of growth and development of skills and identity.

Children’s play and learning, their close relationships and social interactions are dependent on the quality of places and spaces they inhabit.
