Evline Meshreky

Inclusive Strategies Expert

Evline Meshreky is the Inclusive Strategies Expert at the Van Leer Foundation. She works across the Foundation to strengthen inclusion in how programmes are designed, implemented, and learned from, with a particular focus on ensuring that systems work better for children and caregivers who are too often overlooked. Her work brings together evidence, strategy, and practical tools to help translate equity and inclusion commitments into action.

Before taking on this role, Evline coordinated the Foundation’s displacement portfolio, supporting initiatives that improve outcomes for families affected by displacement and migration. Before joining Van Leer, she worked across a range of social, cultural, and institutional contexts on education, leadership development, child protection, refugee inclusion, and systems change. She holds an MA in Globalisation and Development Studies from Maastricht University.

Outside work, Evline is always looking for a good excuse to use her museum card, particularly to visit natural history and modern art museums. She enjoys being outdoors, provided a hike stays comfortably in the “challenging but enjoyable” range, and is a strong advocate for glamping over extreme sports. She also loves collecting random facts, though she rarely remembers them for long, which means quiz nights are usually more about the company than the score.
